OFFICIAL RULES
The October Project Annual Poetry Contest
- The Contest opens on April 1st and closes at 11:59 pm (EDT) on April 30th, 2024.
- The Contest is open to anyone, from anywhere in the world.
- No more than 3 entries, please.
- There are no style or subject restrictions: all poems welcome.
- The author must own the copyright to every part of the poem.
- If submitting more than one poems, please submit all poems together as a single document.
- Submissions must be written in English. Any non-English phrases should be accompanied by a translation.
- The file name of your document should be the title of your poem/s.
- If poem has been published or awarded elsewhere, please specify.
- Poetry must be free from any claims by other parties.
- No AI generated content please.
- Entrants will receive automatic confirmation via email after entry.
- You must be the sole author of the work. You may not submit someone else's work.
- You may submit work that has been awarded elsewhere, as long as no part of it has been published.
- Entry is taken to be acceptance of these rules.
- All poems selected as runners-up, honorable mention or prize-winners may be published on the October Project Facebook page and October Process blog.
